Trade Negotiations and Development for East Africa - EPAs and the WTO

From 29-29 October 2005, 70 participants met in Arusha, Tanzania to address the trade concerns of East Africa in a range of areas of significance to the region and to consider elements of a trade-centric outcome from trade negotiations at the WTO and EPAs. Delegates met in Plenary and in three working groups: Development, Trade in Goods, and Trade Facilitation & Services. The workshop helped to inform the development of regional positions in advance of the December 2005 WTO Hong Kong Ministerial Conference.
